ORI scientist Tim Ozechowski, Ph.D., has just received funding from the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) to analyze therapist-client interactions in adolescent substance abuse treatment groups. In this two-year study, Ozechowski and Co-Investigator Holly Waldron, Ph.D., will identify the clinical processes that characterize and distinguish between effective and ineffective treatment groups and which lead to positive treatment outcomes. Results from this study will help inform clinical guidelines to ensure positive clinical outcomes in group treatment.
