Development, Feasibility, and Acceptability of Aim to Play, a User-Friendly Digital Application for Teacher Skills Training and Physical Education Activities for 3-5 Grade Elementary Students - Phase 2
This is a sub-award from Saavsus Inc.

In Phase I of this study investigators developed and tested Pocket PE 3-5, a user-friendly digital app for teacher skills training and circuit-based physical education activities for elementary students. Phase I results indicated that the prototype successfully met all the benchmarks for program usability, acceptability, user satisfaction, consumer satisfaction, and fidelity of implementation.

During Phase II, investigators are developing the final modules for Pocket PE 3-5 and testing its effectiveness in a clustered randomized trial with 24 elementary schools involving 72 classroom teachers and their students. The long-term goal of Pocket PE 3-5 is to provide a low-burden, scalable PE training/instructional solution for classroom teachers that is aligned with national guidelines for effective PE, is easily implemented with fidelity, and can be flexibly implemented to meet the needs of teachers and students in promoting school-wide PE engagement.
