PARTICIPATE IN RESEARCH

Your participation will help us advance scientific knowledge that will benefit society.

Taking part in research is voluntary.  At ORI we make sure protocols are followed to protect the people who take part.

All of our research projects are reviewed and approved by an Institutional Review Board (IRB), which is a committee made up of researchers and people from the community.

The job of the IRB is to make sure each participant understands the purpose of the research, possible risks, and what they will be asked to do.  Our IRB works to ensure that the welfare and rights of research participants are protected.
