Dr. Light holds a Ph.D. in Mathematical Sociology from University of California Los Angeles. His primary interests are child and adolescent social development, social influence, social networks, and mathematical approaches to social dynamics. Prior to joining ORI, he held teaching positions in sociology and statistics at Princeton University, The University of California at Riverside, and Pomona College, and more recently held research appointments at UCLA, the Prevention Research Center, University of California San Diego, and the University of Oregon.
