Peer Engagement in Methamphetamine Harm-Reduction with Contingency Management (Peer-CM) Supplement
This is a sub-award from Oregon Health Sciences University

Overdose during the peripartum period (pregnancy and postpartum) constitutes a significant public health concern, driven in part by use of stimulants adulterated with fentanyl. While contingency management (CM) is an evidence-based intervention for stimulant use disorder, CM rooted in a harm reduction approach is not utilized for peripartum people. The goal of the proposed supplement is to adapt PEER-CM materials for the peripartum period to improve access to harm reduction-focused CM and treatment engagement outreach for peripartum people who use stimulants. The adaptation lays the groundwork for interventions to reduce peripartum overdose, increase peripartum engagement in harm reduction and treatment, and improve the lives of families.
