Dr. Van Ryzin has extensive research experience with family and peer influence on problem behavior in adolescence, including high-risk sexual behavior, delinquent peer association, and antisocial behavior and violence. He has published findings from several large-scale randomized controlled trials of prevention and intervention programs, including Multidimensional Treatment Foster Care (MTFC), the Family Check-Up (FCU), and the Second Step anti-bullying program.
