ORI evidence based Tai Chi program improves health in seniors
Research led by Fuzhong Li, Ph.D., and his team being is being applied in real-world settings. His NIH funded studies on Tai Ji Quan, also known as Tai Chi, for healthy aging have shown that this gentle, low-impact exercise can help reduce falls, improve balance, and support physical and cognitive function in older adults.
These research-based benefits are put into practice at many sites, including at the Oswego YMCA in New York where Tai Chi is part of their approach to helping older adults stay active and steady on their feet.
Backed by science — applied for everyday well-being.
